The Saga That Gave Us A Reason To Play [Poseidon's Fury 9/25]


In the year some call 2008 we thought we knew exactly how that year would end....we sealed the history books with red leaves and filed them away in the Royal Hall of Records...but a simple and at the time insignificant report of an archaeological find in Ilshenar would shake the very foundation of our Beloved Throne. Tempting our former King Casca to try and seize the Power, Fortune and never before seen Magics for himself and his hidden agenda against the Virtues.



Our fate was placed in the hands of a simple Surveyor, a drunken Guardsmen, the Half Spell Botched Court Mage and a Royal Guard formally Exiled to the Lost Lands. Betrayed by their own King they would band together and rise above their own personal flaws and unite the factions, guilds, guards and townships. From death and decaying lands of Felucca to the flourishing orchards and summer breeze beaches of Trammel, across the enchanted Seas to the exotic lands of Tokuno and the marvelous wonder of the towering lands of Malas, those who whom have answered the call for years and those whom have just begun to answer will have their Honor, Bravery and Loyalty put to the Ultimate Test!!!

Successful completion of the requirements will grant the township a healer's hut of some sort that will res dead folks. That's going to wrap up the announcement section.

Ashlynn: Township additions does each one have to be identical for each town IE: a resurrection shrine will be the same in form for all towns?

Elder EM Dudley: Yes it'd be the same addition to each town simply because we have one building and she is going to stamp them out just like the stables.

Announcements From The EMs
(Township Announcement at the End)

This upcoming week we have two events. The first one on Friday, September 16th at 9pm ET that is the Sons of the Sea Award Ceremony. That will be held at the Sons of the Sea in Trinsic

On Saturday, September 17th at 9pm ET we have "Liquor Lovers"

This will be an escort style event to deliver the craft liquors to points throughout the realm. There are one of three roles you may participate in during this event.

-You can either act as a guard and protect the convoy defending from would be attacks.
-You can act as a thief and attempt to steal the precious cargo.
-Or, you can act as a marauder and attempt to kill the Couriers that will make up the convoy.

Depending on what path you choose you will bring the item that you will collect to the respective RPC for that group. Drake Foxx for guards, Scarlet for Thieves, Kendrick Morrow for Marauders. A Full Post detailing how this works will be posted on the forums. The other two events this month include

"Risen from Sail and Timber" Friday, September 23rd at 8pm ET
"Where No Olmec would go...." Saturday, September 24th at 9pm ET
More information will be available on those events as we near the dates.

Ashlynn- Will Risen From Sail and Timber be a Naval event, and do you intend to do any Naval events similar to the old one where we attacked that big fleet and are undersea caves involved?

Elder EM Dudley- No, Yes, not undersea ones....Something Naval with the New High Seas stuff is on the radar. Likely one or two months out though. There's a nasty bug involving EMs and boats so before that gets squashed we try to keep clear of them.

Ozog Giantfart- ANNOUNCEMENT ifin yoos habe not seen postys. SHE auctions are closed Zelda cannot sit for more than 10 mins. Rivi has med problems too and internet problems wif her provider dats all.

Zanku- I also have an announcement, ever Tuesday this month starting at 9pm Nidaros is celebrating the 1year Anniversary of its rising from the ashes. Last week we had a rune hunt, this Tuesday we have a CLASSIC ship Blood Regatta then following 2weeks after that will be an Archery and Horse Race with a big celebration afterward. Would like all to come! Ties and such are posted on Stratics any question,s etc can be left in the Mailbox at the Town hall Thank you


Player Run Townships

Elder EM Dudley- If there's nothing further I'll introduce a topic that we'd like to get some feedback on. If you would like to submit feedback please email us. We are looking at expanding the offerings to player townships. In terms of special structures and the like, similar to the stables that were built. What we are looking for are suggestions of what you'd like the way these will be handled/implemented will be through various NPC guilds that exist. If you've been around for awhile you may remember joining an NPC guild to get discounts. Most everyone joined the mage one for discounted regs but those types of organizations will grant the reward.

The PaxLair 13th Anniversary is scheduled for January 15-19, 2011. The actual anniversary date is January 19th when the City of PaxLair was founded by The Band guild in 1998. According to a PaxLair decree, the Anniversary celebration is held for several days.

People are already planning events that will span across the shard. Some will be tested before the Anniversary.
